Father of the modern day Martini: The Martinez
Our play on this great cocktail to transition to the Fall months beautifully highlights the Luxardo line-up!
The Martinez
1/4 oz Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
3/4 oz Luxardo Fernet Amaro
2 oz Luxardo Sour Cherry Gin
2 dashes Fee Brothers Orange Bitters
1 Lemon Peel
2 Luxardo Maraschino Cherries
Step 1 Pour first 3 ingredients into mixing glass. Add 2 dashes of Fee Brothers Orange Bitters then add ice. Stir 15-20 seconds then strain into coup glass.
Step 2 Zest the lemon: rub the peel on coup glass rim, express lemon oil into the coup glass, then discard the peel. Finally, garnish with the skewered Luxardo Maraschino Cherries.
